“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” (1 Peter 5:10 ESV)
I love home restoration shows. There is something profoundly inspiring about taking a space that was once uninhabitable and turning it into something functional and beautiful. To me, this transformation is a direct reflection of the heart of God. His passion is restoration—not of houses or cars, but of people.
Seventeen years ago, my life felt like a total wreck. My first wife walked out on me and our three children in the middle of the night. In that season of abandonment, I felt alone and discarded. I could never have imagined then what my life looks like today.
On December 14, 2025, the Lord brought me full circle. For the first time in seventeen years, I stood behind a pulpit to preach. As I reflected on that moment, I realized God had been quietly restoring every corner of my life. My children are healthy, my marriage is thriving, and I am once again using my spiritual gifts. It was the Father’s clear affirmation: He was not finished with me.
Where are you today? Do you have dreams that feel dead? Has your current season been colder and harder than you ever imagined?
I am living proof that the Trinity is working for your good. Even in my deepest doubts, He remained faithful. If you are in a place of brokenness, hold on to Him. Believe that His restoration will be more beautiful than anything you could ever "ask, think, or even imagine" (Ephesians 3:20). He is the Great Restorer, and He isn't done with you yet.
